Important notice for the foreign citizens visiting Kaliningrad region on an E-visa:

The Russian Federation legislation does not stipulate for an extension of E-Visa validity period or the permitted stay under it. In case of failure to meet permitted stay period limit, including due to unforeseen circumstances one have to apply to Visa and Permits Section of the Administration on Migration Affairs in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs regional office located at Kaliningrad, Frunze street, building 6, ground floor, office 3.

Question

 When filling in my application form I specified August 10 as a date of entry. I thought my e-visa was to become valid from the date through September 8. However, according to the letter I received the visa expires much earlier. Why?  

Answer 

E-visa as well as any Russian visa is valid from the date of issuance but not from the date specified in application form.

  Can I edit my application form I have already submitted?  

Answer 

Be accurate at filling in the application form because you cannot correct your data after having submitted it.

 Question

  I have filled my application form in but forgot my password. How can I reset it?  

Answer 

Write down properly a password for your account at https://evisa.kdmid.ru . If you have lost your password, you can reset it through the menu "Retrieve Application" by choosing "Forgot your password?" option.

  How many times can I apply for e-visas?  

Answer 

Citizens of countries on e-visa list can apply for e-visa any number of times but not later than four days before expected entry date. 

Question

  I visited Kaliningrad before to take part in scientific events but it is the first time I enter the region on e-visa. What purpose of visit should I point out in my application form?  

Answer 

If you visited Russia before and your purpose of visit remains the same, choose this very purpose again when applying for e-visa.

Question

  I submitted my application form but I still have not received any e-mail concerning the results. What should I do? 

Answer 

If you have not received an e-mail following your application processing procedure during 4 days from submission date, please consult evisa_info@dks.ru identifying your application number, nationality, and passport number.

Question

  I would like to know whether it is possible for e-visa holders to enter the region and exit from it through different border crossing points.  

Answer 

Yes, it is. It is not necessary to enter the Kaliningrad Region and exit from it through the same border crossing point.

Question

  After having obtained an e-visa I am applying for another. Can I use the same photograph I have used already?  

Answer 

To apply for another e-visa, one can use the same photo as for the previous visa.

Question

  I will travel to the Kaliningrad Region on e-visa by car. Should I fill any application form at the border point in that regard?  

Answer 

Please note that visitors of the Kaliningrad Region travelling by car must declare their means of transport. To make the declaration beforehand and print it, one can find the form at the website of the Federal Custom Service of Russia.

Question

  I am travelling to the Kaliningrad Region on e-visa soon but I am not going to stay at a hotel because I am leaving the same day. What should I specify in boxes “Name of the hotel/organization”, “Address of the hotel/organization”, “Telephone Number of the hotel/organization” of section “Intended places of stay in the Russian Federation”?  

Answer 

Fill in each box you have mentioned with “No stay needed”.
