Question
Afternoon, We have booked flights into Vilnius with a view to hiring a car and driving to Kaliningrad for the World Cup in June to watch England. We know we will need a FAN ID for a visa. Do we need any other documents? Is the border control long because we only have around 18 hours when we land before the match. Thanks Jake

Unfortunately, we cannot predict how intensive transport flow will be at the border. At this point, we are not aware of any information on additional measures taken either by Russian border service, or by the Lithuanian one.
Question
Hi! Me and my husband would like to watch the world cup game Croatia - Nigera in Kalininggrad in 2018 and wonder what the visa requirements are for us. I am a Swedish citizen and my husband is jamaican citizen but an American resident (green card holder). How can we apply for a visa? All best Marina I.
Answer
Foreign citizens who come to the Russian Federation as the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches spectators should get their FAN IDs for multiple visa-free entry to the Russian Federation and submit valid identity documents recognized by the Russian Federation. The entry is allowed during the period that starts ten days ahead the date of the first match and ends ten days after the date of the last 2018 FIFA World Cup match.
